All About Kids is a long standing, privately owned and operated service. This means we are a fee for service clinic. We do however, have various funding streams and Medicare rebates available to assist our clients. |
Referrals |
You do not need a referral to receive counselling, psychological support, occupational or speech therapy from All About Kids. Call, email us, or simply book online to make an appointment. It is always a good idea to look through our therapists so you have an idea who may be a great fit for you. If you have a referral from your GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist under a government rebate system you will be able to receive a rebate for our service. If you have NDIS please go to our NDIS fees page for more information.
Fees |
Generally, psychology and counselling sessions are 50-60 minutes in duration, and costs are advised prior to the initial consultation. Our fees range from $140 to $260 per session (see below for rebate information), depending on the type of service you are receiving. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please ask us about our assistance packages.
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a 46-60 minute session rate of $311 for psychological services. All About Kids aims to keep our fees affordable for families, so we charge substantially under this rate.
Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) have suggested that a 45-60 minutes session rate of $128 for occupational therapy services. All About Kids aims to keep our fees affordable for families and remain under this rate.
Depending on needs, speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy sessions are often 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Initial sessions are 50-60 minutes, so your therapist has time to talk to you about your child's needs and begin some direct assessment. Generally, your therapist will suggest a block of therapy to focus on a specific skill development. You will arrange the best length for a therapy session for your child. Fees vary but average around $220 per hour of therapy.
